There is no better way to experience life in our beautiful Reception classrooms and across the school than by visiting in person. Meet our Reception team, explore the classroom and grounds and find out more about the benefits an all-through education from Reception onwards. Taster Days can be arranged at any time and are a wonderful way for your child to get to know us better.

Applications are welcome throughout the year, however to secure your child’s place, early application is encouraged.

To apply for a place in our Reception, please complete an online application on our Admissions platform. Registering is straightforward and you will be asked to pay a £120 non-refundable deposit.

Offers will be made following a taster day.
Offers
Once you are happy that Shrewsbury High School is the right place for your child, and have received your offer letter, you must complete the online parent contract within a certain time and pay a £500 refundable deposit. We will hold the deposit until the end of your child’s final term at school and refund it within 12 weeks of their departure, minus any sums owed to the school at that time. We cannot refund the deposit if you withdraw your child after accepting the place.

Now comes the exciting part! We take great care in providing you and your child with a specially designed transition programme to ensure that you are all ready for this exciting first step in their educational journey. Our Reception teacher will work closely with you and spend time with your child so that when they join us in September, they feel right at home.
