Next week, this will extend to the whole senior school, with every year group undertaking exams or assessments as part of this important period in the academic year.

In this week’s assembly, students were reminded that each stage of their education builds upon the last, helping to develop the knowledge, confidence, and resilience they will need beyond school. Challenge is a vital part of this journey. Feeling stretched, even slightly nervous, before an assessment is entirely natural and a sign that what you are doing matters. Learning how to respond positively to challenge is an important life skill that will serve students well far beyond the classroom.

While grades do matter, they are only one part of a much bigger picture. Education is also about character, discipline, and the ability to persevere. By staying calm, working hard, and supporting one another, students can ensure that everyone can perform at their best.

We wish all students the very best for the weeks ahead and encourage them to approach this assessment period with confidence, focus, and determination.
